The NOEM Basic Chair is the last addition to the NOEM furniture range. As it happens with the rest of the NOEM collection, Basic is made with certified materials, we tried to reduce distances between production and provider centres and the price wants to be fair for all the supplier chain. The final result is a light chair, comfortable and strong, easy to assemble and disassemble, produced in wood and steel and sold in a box that presents all the information you need to under-stand that what you have in your hands is not simply a piece of furniture, but an object with a story.
NOEM Basic is going to be the first model of the range with upholstery seat and back, of course taking account of the same environmental criteria that Nutcreatives had applied in the rest of the parts of the chair. This version is going to be shown in the ICFF fair.Design, innovation, quality, traceabilityThis chair is manufactured with complete traceability, taking into account the environmental as-pects of the entire product lifecycle. Its design strikes the perfect balance between simplicity and ergonomics, resulting in a product that is durable, comfortable and intuitive.
As always Nutcreatives tried to endow their creation with a superb quality, delicacy and creativity and a strong commitment to contemporary aesthetics and design.
The Nutcreatives Studio Àlex Jiménez, Upper Graduate (Design) and Engineer (Industrial Design), together with Jon Marín, Biology (BSc) and Industrial Ecology (MSc) and Bernat Faura, Material Engineer (BSc) and Engineer (Industrial Design) make up Nutcreatives, an agency for product design an ecoinnova-tion which adopts integrated sustainability criteria and social responsability in all its projects and processes. The studio, based in Barcelona, has made many creative projects in the furniture, urban furni-ture, lightning and packaging sectors, some of them with important recognitions as the selection in the Delta Design Awards for the urban bench Nuu or the honourable mention in the Catalan Ecodesign awards for the urban furniture family Aalb.
Saint-Hamptons Collection American east coast and the mediterranean. Joe Doucet and Andreu Carulla Studio join their talents to create a new seating collection for CRU Raw Furniture. Just like Les Bernardes Collection was inspired by a religious venue, our newest project is influenced by iconic seaside locations from two different continents. Merging the sophisticated colonial flair of the Hamptons with the sunny and bohemian atmosphere of the Mediterranean coast. Southampton’s style and Montauk’s sea mist meet Cadaques’ coves and Saint Tropez’s sunlight. With the sea at the core of the collection, its first pieces are a swing bench and a chair. Comfortable and relaxing, these swings combine the lightness of a sail and the balance of a mast. With luxury finishes as natural leather and brass, the result is a contemporary yet timeless piece of furniture that suits and complements any room or porch.
Andreu Carulla graduated in 2002 in Industrial Design at the Technical University of Girona.
In 2006 and opened his own studio in Banyoles, and in 2009 he began his collection with the Celler de Can Roca, of which the project “Roca on Wheels” and dishes came for the show “The dream of brothers rock” . Andreu Carulla has received numerous awards, but it was in 2012 when he received the accolades that have been consolidated as an international reference.
