Lázaro Rosa-Violán is an interior designer by profession and a painter at heart who was raised between Bilbao, Madrid and Barcelona.
From a very young age, painting became his passion. At eight years of age, he was already attending painting classes as an unregistered student at the Fine Arts Academy of Bilbao. Back then, Lázaro experienced early success with the first exhibition of his work in Brussels. He subsequently became interested in architecture, a discipline that allowed him to carry out his first interior design project in 1990.
Following the success of his first project, Lázaro began his career as an interior designer, first on a national level between Barcelona and Madrid and then, in time, on an international level. This new path led him to found his own studio in 2002 in Barcelona, a city he considers his muse.
Barcelona has become one of his main showcases, where one can find numerous hotels, restaurants and shops with his label such as the restaurant El Nacional, the restaurant Boca Grande, Pronovias’ flagship store and some of the main stores of the Inditex group like Oysho and Pull&Bear. Also notable are international projects in Mexico, the United States, Columbia, Seul, Shanghai and Dubai.
